The educational program “Tourism with IDEA” (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) is an online course in which company staff learn how to serve and provide the best experiences to people with disabilities, older adults and the LGBTQ+ community (focus groups).

The “Tourism with IDEA” course has the following characteristics:

  • Aimed at all company personnel.
  • Based on the modern ‘microlearning’ methodology; The content is segmented into short video capsules of 3 to 10 minutes each.
  • Total duration of 3.5 hours divided into 4 modules; 30 video capsules in total.
  • Completely online and on demand with video capsules that people can watch or listen to whenever and wherever they want.
  • Summary guides and other downloadable educational materials.
  • Language and examples that are easily understandable for all audiences regardless of academic background.
  • Presented in Spanish with examples in Spanish and English.
  • Content elaborated in collaboration with 17 allied NGOs specialized in each of the focus groups.

  2. Create and communicate, internally and externally, an Inclusive Customer Service Policy. Policy Example.
  3. Carry out the logistics so that all the staff of the applicant company or establishment take the “Tourism with IDEA” course.

By achieving this, they will receive the “i Distinction Communication Kit”.
